Iris Cyclio - Iris Cycle
Inspired by an iris growing in our studio garden. The cluster of iris from deep purple bud tip to crinkled petals on seed pod swelling demonstrated its cycle of life. This also got me to thinking about the cycle of life and the air we all need to breath. And then I began to think more and more about how the iris is breathing together with us. So as I painted this piece I focused on the feelings of air connecting all of us together. The brush strokes are meant to express the energy of us all in the sun, built of water, earth and air. Blending one into another and connecting us.
