Manzanita Lake reflects the first snow fall of the season on Mount Lassen. Aspens fill the air with their changing tune as their leaves turn and leave for the forest floor to fuel the next season of growth. The tranquil waters reflect the halcyon days of a spectacular mountain feeling with cool waves lapping up the final thrust of summers warm rays. Our toes tickled by young trouts' curiosity bring giggling squeals of laughter bubbling up. And we look up to see mountains golden trimmed lace veil reflected in the volcanic depths of the living lake highlighted with the infinite blue of alpine climbs.
