Many of us have a vision of golden vistas. A perfect sunlit beach reveals bleached bones of golden hills with rocks and lichens beauty too. The golden gate is painted a foggy orange that lights with the sunshine and becomes golden with green trees promise when the fog lifts.
The American car dream of California is anchored by the persistence of nature's hold. The lichen grows as the car slows to sit beneath a shady tree and grow its own shade of green in the autumn of its eternal elemental life. This particular car plate has some of the most beautiful lichen growth I've seen , so it was selected as the comment on the characteristics of stereotypical dreams and the manifestation of natures connection to all of us. Almost as if we are destined to be part of the earth and are of the earth, including the plants and air we all share.
