Davis Arboretum Bridge
Davis Arboretum Bridge
Davis Arboretum Bridge, draped in grapes. A crystal still day I leaned out well over the drink and balanced with camera, took a deep breath, composed and cleared my mind. Stood still in time and took the picture of monumental favour. Minds of Monet's Garden made such a beautiful bridge, and the grape frosted it just right with the hands of design and attendance on its grapely desires.
Inspired by the superintendent of University at Davis, California's Arboretum I prioritised a favoured hike through the arboretum on a particular autumnal day. We were making cards for the Davis at the time. This one lives on in cards and canvas wraps. One particularly large on was custom ordered by and insurance company hand enhanced with gold and copper, with splashes of ruby red. It is an absorbing experience at any size, but the huge one on their wall is one of my favourites to visit.
